Servas Taiwan ================================================================================== Dear friends of Servas, Servas South East Asia will be holding its Regional Meeting from 10 to 13 Aug 2019. This is not an international meeting. If you happen to be in our region and would like to join us, you are most welcome to. A brief itinerary is as follows: 10/8: Day 1:
arrival at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, make own transport arrangement to the designated hotel for check in. Free & easy till time of meeting. SEA Regional Meeting will be held in the evening, time to be advised. ( if we can’t finish the meeting this evening, we will carry forward to Days 2 & 3). Meals on own. 11/8: Day 2: pick up from Kota Kinabalu early in the morning, transfer to Kundasang. Visit Mount Kinabalu National Park, Desa Farm, War Memorial, Poring Hotspring, Sabah Tea Plantation Meeting to be continued in the late afternoon/evening. Meals on own. Entrance fees on own. 12/8: Day 3: Kundasang-Kudat Visit Rungus Long House, Gong Village, Tip of Borneo, some beaches. Meeting to be held in the late afternoon or evening. Meals on own. Entrance fees on own. 13/8: Day 4: Kudat-Kota Kinabalu+ sightseeing (if there is time) Leave for home, transfer to airport on own arrangement or extend stay (own arrangement). Cost: USD160 per person. The fee includes hotel stay (10th, 11th, 12th, 3 nights, 2-5 persons in 1 room)& usage of vehicle +driver+ fuel+ driver’s expenses ( Days 2-4). Single supplement (subject to availability): additional USD80. *USD160 does not include Tourism Tax of USD2.50 per room per night (the Tax is applicable to Non Malaysian guests) which is to be collected upon check in. * all meals are not included for now, if we have a big crowd, we will arrange before hand, at additional cost and you will be notified accordingly. *As we will be staying in budget accommodation in small towns, rooms are limited, all participants may not be housed in the same hotel. In the event that we are not able to secure enough budget rooms, there will be an increase in the fee of USD160, you shall be notified beforehand and then decide whether to participate or not. * Double/Twin bedded rooms are limited as well, if you must have double/twin room, there may be additional charges. *Servas Malaysia has no host in East Malaysia, thus pre & post meeting hosting in East Malaysia is unavailable. *Spaces are limited and they are on first come, first serve basis. Priority is given to SEA members. Please confirm your participation before 5th May 2019 with Kiat ([email protected]). All payments are to be made before 10th May 2019 to secure booking. There will be no refund for cancellation after the payment is made. Payment details will be emailed upon receipt of your intention to participate. If no payment is received by 10th May 2019, your participation shall be cancelled automatically.
