2020年會員大會即將在6/28(日) 於台北內湖的西湖射箭場熱鬧登場!
射箭，為古代儒家必備的基本技能之一，透過射箭強身健體，一起對抗這波新冠病毒，協會特別安排在空曠且通風的場地，舉辦戶外的旅遊分享會。再者，希望透過分組競賽，讓會員們彼此認識，培養革命情感。

2020年Servas Taiwan夏季活動 魅力四射@Taipei   活動紀實
 
禮樂射御書數，射箭，為古代儒家必備的六藝的其一，透過射箭來強身健體。Covid-19疫情趨緩後，Servas Taiwan第一場活動，2020年6月28日週日在台北市西湖射箭訓練中心，近50位會員們來到這裡，在空曠的山坡上，滿眼綠意，舒展身心。下午三位會員分別分享其 歐洲、澳洲及日本旅行的美好經驗，讓Servas台灣的會員們滿載而歸。 
 
當天上午在射箭場教練約20分鐘的講解後，會員們個個充滿信心，躍躍欲試，在教練的指導下，一一上陣，展開射箭英姿，會員們射箭出的刹那命中靶心，難掩興奮之情，尖叫聲四起。接著分組帶隊到叢林內，學習瞄準射擊在繩索上不斷搖擺的山豬玩具寶寶，儘管擊中率不高，却讓會員們渡過具有挑戰性的上午，也鼓舞會員們下次還要再來一趟的決心。
 
中午大家一起用過簡餐後，接著是三位會員一一上台，講解如何運用Servas管道，聯絡海外的會員，展開其畢生難忘的旅行。
 
首先是台北會員Emily的歐洲之旅，Emily自2018年4月加入Servas，先在台灣擔任Day Host，接待法國,德國和瑞士的Servas旅人，之後1年半內飛了3趟歐洲，經歷17個Host家庭和3位Day Host。每一段旅程中和每一位host和day host的交流，都成為旅程中最美的回憶。
 
接著是台中會員Phyllis，其在2019年長達64天的東澳旅遊，透過Servas，以極低的花費，帶著孩子，與澳洲在地人一起生活，學習當地的風土人情與文化。她是2019年5月中旬無意間在一本旅遊書上認識Servas，發現Servas的理念與其想要的旅遊方式完全吻合，因此於5月底加入Servas後，立即安排東澳旅遊路線並與Servas Host聯繫，6月25日即前往澳洲，住在25位Host家中55個晚上，也透過host認識42位Servas澳洲朋友。她在host家親手製作水餃和珍珠奶茶，和當地家庭交流，讓host家庭覺得新鮮有趣，也達到Servas文化交流的目的。
 
最後是新北市的coordinator Grace分享台日會員交流的美好體驗。時間是在2019年的11月，台北地區10位會員接受日本關東地區會員的邀請, 前往日本東京進行四天三夜的交流。自一開始充滿台式熱情的相見歡，到公共澡堂的日式坦誠相見，慢步享受日本美好餐點，最終一路背著Servas Taiwan 的會旗, 走在日本古都鎌倉中，全部行程於遍地楓紅的濃濃秋意中，舒暢無比。

The Glamorous Summer Event of Servas Taiwan in 2020

     Archery is one of the six essential arts of ancient Confucianism, which is a Mastery of ritual, music, archery, charioteering, calligraphy and arithmetic. For our members’ good health, Servas Taiwan held the first outdoor activity—the sport of shooting arrows on June 28, 2020 at the West Lake Archery Training Center in Taipei City as the COVID-19 epidemic slowed down.
Almost 50 members came here to stretch themselves physically and emotionally on the open hillside with greenery at the West Lake Archery Training Center in NeiHu District, Taipei City. In addition, 3 members of them shared their wonderful experiences of traveling in Europe, Australia and Japan in the afternoon, and all members enjoyed and return home with plentiful results.
In the morning, following the coach’s explanation for 20 minutes, the members were eager to try it with confidence. They struck a heroic pose of shooting arrows one by one according to the guidance of the coach. The moment they hit the target, all of them were squealing up with excitement.
The coach, then, lead the team into the jungle and teach them how to aim and shoot at the baby boar toys swaying on the rope. Although the hit rate is not high, all enjoyed the challenges in the morning and determined to come back next time.
 Three members came to the stage by order after lunch together, sharing their experiences how they contacted Servas members overseas and hence embarked on an unforgettable journey for life.
The first is Emily’s story of European tour. Emily joined in the big Servas family in April 2018 and served as a Day Host initially to entertain members of Servas from France, Germany and Switzerland with courtesy and warmth. She therefore went to Europe three times and visited 17 Host families and a Day Host for 3 days within 1.5 years. The best memories come from continuous communication with each host and day host during Emily’s happy journey.
The second is Philly, a Servas member from Taichung. Phyllis has traveled to East Australia for 64 days in 2019 through Servas channel. She learned Servas from a travel book in mid-May, 2019, and agreed that Servas's ideas are in line with her expectations. What a coincidence! She, thus, joined in Servas at the end of May, 2019. She, therefore, launched the East Australia journey by contacting local Servas Host since June 25, 2019. Philly met 42 Servas Australian friends and visited 25 Hosts for 55 nights. During the journey, she made dumplings and pearl milk tea while she and her children were living with hosts’ families. It gave them such a pleasure to achieve the purpose of culture exchange in the spirit of Servas.
      Finally, Grace, the coordinator of New Taipei City shared the touching stories of culture exchanges between members of Taiwan and Japan in November 2019. Ten Servas members from Taipei embraced the kind invitation from the members of the Kanto region, ​​Japan and then they visited Tokyo for four days. It was a great joy from the formal discussions to a meeting with surprising candor in the public bathhouse, and all were enjoying the fine Japanese food leisurely from time to time. Finally, all were carrying the flag of Servas Taiwan and walking in the alley of Kamakura, the ancient capital of Japan, where we felt very comfortable with the strong autumn Maple.
